Dr. Armando Acosta
Veterinarian
Dr. Armando Acosta, originally from Caracas, Venezuela, has been a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian since earning his degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University Central of Venezuela’s Faculty of Veterinary Science in 2000. His passion for animal care led him to the United States, where he has been acquiring more experience ever since.
Dr. Acosta’s commitment to excellence in veterinary medicine is reflected in his impressive qualifications. He is a proud graduate of the Educational Commission of Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG), having successfully passed the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) and the Clinical Proficiency Examination (CPE). This rigorous certification process underscores his high standards of veterinary practice and dedication to providing exceptional care to his patients.
In 2011, Dr. Acosta joined the team at Pet Emergency and Referral Center(PERC), then accepted an internship position under the mentorship of Dr. Steve Hanson, the Veterinary Surgeon Chief. This experience was crucial in completing his certification process and further solidified his expertise in the field.
In 2020, Dr. Acosta took a significant step in his career by purchasing Garden Park Animal Clinic, a well-established small animal clinic that has been serving the Palm Beach Gardens community since 1988. Under his ownership, Garden Park Animal Clinic continues its legacy of providing top-notch care to pets in the area, with Dr. Acosta dedicated to upholding the highest standards in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Acosta and his family have embraced life in Palm Beach County since 2000. They share their home with a delightful array of pets: Mily, a charming Havanese; Maya, a lively Yorkshire Terrier mix; Marvin, a sleek Tuxedo cat; Mr. Teddy, a cheerful feline companion; and two adorable finches. Dr. Acosta is married to Arelys, and together they have two children, Sofia Margarita and Fabio Armando.
With a profound love for animals and a strong commitment to his community, Dr. Acosta continues to make a positive impact through his work at Garden Park Animal Clinic.
